How to Connect Brother HL 2270dw Wireless Setup WPS

Some of a printer's most important features are the consistency of its' printouts and the speed at which each page is written. Brother's laser printer line provides both of these features, all for a relatively lower price than most other laser printers of this class can find. In addition to the other laser printer advantages, the Brother hl 2270dw wireless setup its level of convenience even more by providing a wireless feature. Some people may be intimidated by a wireless printer's prospects, particularly if they have ever encountered trouble setting up a wireless router, but the Brother hl 2270dw wireless setup process is very easy. Alternatively, once you've been able to set up wireless printing on one machine with the Brother HL2270DW, setting up the printer with the rest of the computers in your home or office is even simpler.

When performing the wireless setup for this system, the first thing to explain is that your machine need not have wireless capabilities. It simply needs to be wired to a wireless-element network. For instance, I currently have a wireless connection with this printer to my desktop computer. The desktop computer does not have a wireless network card but uses an ethernet cable to connect to my wireless router.

The next point of clarification is that for the initial wireless setup of this system you'll need a USB printer cord. Since the printer has no way for you to manually enter the wireless network settings you will need to add them from the device to the printer. Brother also doesn't include a USB printer cable, so you'll either need to buy one or better use the cable that linked your old wired printer to your device.

Start the Brother hl 2270dw wireless setup wps process by unpacking the printer from its packaging materials, and then remove all the printer stickers. The toner cartridge is already in the printer, but for repositioning the toner inside, you can take it out and shake it. Replace the cartridge, and then close the entrance door.

Connect the power cable to the printer's back then plug it in. Do NOT yet connect to a USB cable. That you'll be prompted to do later.

Switch on the printer, wait for it to boot up, then press the top of the printer's Go button to print a test file.

Insert the Brother installation disc into your computer's disk drive, then press the Setup.exe option in the AutoPlay window. If you don't have a disk drive or the installation disk was misplaced, you can download the driver program

At the bottom of the window, press the HL-2270DW button.

From the list click on your preferred language.

Tap at the top of the window on the Installed Printer Driver button. To make changes to your screen, press the Yes button.

To approve the license agreement click the Yes button, select the Wireless Communication option and then click the Next button.

Test the Network Printer option in Brother Peer-to-Peer, then press the Next button.

Select the Change port settings option to allow network connection and start the installation, then click the Next button.

At the bottom of the window click on the Wireless Setup feature. Remember that your printer will appear on this screen when you install this printer on future machines, and you'll pick it from the list.

Test the Checked and Confirmed box to the left, and then press the Next button.

Check the Use a USB cable option temporarily, then press the Next button.

Attach the USB cable to your device from the back of your printer then wait until the machine recognizes the printer.

Click the list of available devices on your Brother HL2270DW printer, then click the Next button.

Tap from the list on your wireless network then taps Subsequently.

Type your password in the Network Key field, re-type it in the Confirm Network Key field, then press Next. Press Next, then click Next again, then click Finish to finish setting. When prompted you should remove the USB cable.
